The programme gives international students and doctoral students interested in Polish language and culture the opportunity to study or carry out research projects in Poland.
POLONISTA scholarship and fellowship programme – what awaits scholarship holders?
Students – the NAWA scholarship holders as part of the programme can develop their interests in Polish studies by improving their knowledge of the Polish language, participating in lectures and classes in accordance with the selected curricula, conducting research, implementing scientific projects, collecting materials for a scientific or diploma thesis, and using the resources of university libraries and archives.
Conditions of eligibility
Interested students choose the university where they plan to undertake part-time (one-semester/two-semester) or full-time studies in Polish in a study programme consistent with the curriculum implemented at the home university and with the programme assumptions.
The applicant must obtain the consent of the selected university to undertake the studies and accept the presented curriculum and, in the case of candidates for full studies, successfully complete the admissions procedure at the selected university.
Winners and finalists of the Polish Language and Literature Olympiad organised outside Poland, who can apply for a NAWA scholarship for the period of BA or MA Polish studies at a selected public university in Poland are also eligible to participate in the programme.
The deadline for applications is 3:00 p.m. on 4 April 2025.
