The event was hosted by Katarzyna Rybarkiewicz – President of the Student Science Club Stratologist and Stefan Soin – member of the Club. The gathered guests were welcomed by the Director of the Retail Banking Region in Lodz, PKO Bank Polski – Krzysztof Garbacz and Prof. dr hab. Jerzy Różański. Then, the 3rd edition of the Strato Invest Challenge was officially inaugurated, presenting the history of the project and the cooperation between the Student Science Club Stratologist and PKO BP.
In the content-related part, Emil Łobodziński, CFA investment advisor from PKO Bank Polski, gave a lecture on investing and behavioural finance. Participants had an opportunity to learn about investment strategies tailored to the investment time, risk level and investor characteristics.
Emil Łobodziński has attended the inauguration of the Strato Invest Challenge for the third time, and his lectures continue to arouse huge interest!
In the second part of the event, Szymon Fabiański, senior specialist in the Economic Analysis Department of PKO Bank Polski, spoke about the role of uncertainty in the global economy. Guests could learn, among other things, how Donald Trump's policies affect global markets and how PKO BP analysts forecast changes in the most important macroeconomic indicators.
However, that's not all! Numerous attractions awaited you in the patio, i.e. popcorn, a mechanical bull, a rally driving simulator and a chillout zone.
In addition, PKO BP employees were available on site with an offer to open an account. If you didn't have time to talk to them – no worries! Here you will find the most important information.
What next?
The Strato Invest Challenge game starts on 5 May! We remind you that participants receive PLN 50,000 of virtual funds and the prize pool is as much as PLN 4,000!
This year, a record has been broken – 66 participants signed up for the game! We keep our fingers crossed for you!
