Pierwsze posiedzenie Rady ds. Równego Traktowania w UŁ w kadencji 2025-2028

The Equality Council was established by the Regulation No 79 of the Rector of the University of Lodz of 16 January 2025. The first meeting of the Equality Council of the University of Lodz in the term 2025-2028 was held on 30 January of the current year in the Senate Hall of the University of Lodz.

Dr Aleksandra Różalska, the University of Lodz Rector’s Representative for Equal Treatment, Assistant Professor at the Department of Cultural Studies at the Faculty of Philology and Head of the Women’s Studies Centre is the President of the Council.
The Equality Council plays an advisory role at the University of Lodz. Its mission is to develop and implement organisational, administrative and educational solutions at the University of Lodz in accordance with the principles of equal treatment, aimed at countering all forms of discrimination in the academic environment. 

The inaugural meeting of the Council was attended by the Rector of the University of Lodz, Prof. dr hab. Rafał Matera, who delivered a short speech on the functions of the Council. During the meeting, Dr Aleksandra Różalska, President of the Council, after welcoming and introducing the members of the Council, discussed the pro-equality activities developed as part of the RESET project (implemented at the University of Lodz in the years 2021-2024), paying particular attention to the Genger Equality Plan (GEP). Next, Anna Orchowska and Maria Nyklewicz from the Employee Affairs Centre discussed the results of the Job satisfaction and work-life balance survey conducted at the university of Lodz in December 2024.

The Council is composed of representatives of all the University of Lodz faculties, university-wide units (Head of the University of Lodz Library), trade unions (Polish Teachers’ Union, Solidarity, Employees' Initiative), a representative of doctoral candidates, a representative of students and representatives of the University of Lodz central administration, Head of the International Relations Office, Head of the Support and Accessibility Centre, Head of the Centre for External Relations and Social Responsibility of the University, Head of the Employee Affairs Centre and persons associated with the Work-Life Balance Team.
