GS1 Polska is a part of the international not-for-profit organisation GS1, which has been developing the most widely used system of standards in the world for over 50 years. Barcodes, which are currently used worldwide and scanned 10 billion times a day, constitute the most famous GS1 standard. The BBC has recognised them as one of the 50 things that have contributed the most to the creation of the modern economy.
Standards developed by GS1 make it possible for companies to identify, collect and share information about products, locations, partners, shipments and events throughout the supply chain. They are used, among other things, in trade, e-commerce, logistics, construction and healthcare. GS1 standards help organisations operate more efficiently, more safely and more sustainably. GS1 has local member organisations in 118 countries and brings together over 2 million GS1 System Participants, including over 46 thousand in Poland.
GS1 Polska actively educates the market in the field of digital transformation, data standardisation and ESG thorough, among other things, the GS1 Polska Digital Academy, which supports companies in gaining practical knowledge and implementing modern solutions. On the GS1 Digital Academy website you can find short and full of examples courses on GS1 Standards ending with a certificate, podcasts, webinars, events and interesting articles from the best practitioners and experts.
